Summer Walk down to the River

A group of our community gathered by St Mary's Church in Boston Spa last week for an exclusive tour of our local flora and fauna by one of our members, Mike Gadd.  Within the first hour, we'd only walked 25m to the end of Church Fields car park as the insight Mike gave into the work of nature, of himself and other Community Green Group volunteers was so interesting.

We started with the two information boards recently installed near the entrance to the car park.  Please go and have a look around.

We eventually ended up down by the river looking at the work the Community Green Group has done to protect some of the untrodden areas, for which further information boards are planned.  Keep your eyes peeled!

In the meantime, here are 11 things we found on our short walk that evening.  Can you name them?  (Scroll below for answers*)

Finally, it's worth saying a huge thank you for all the work Mike and the Trees & Wildlife group of volunteers do throughout the year to try to protect and restore nature within Boston Spa and surrounding villages.  THANK YOU.
